She'd better not. But no, we were arguing, and then to shut her up, I told her I'm a Necromancer. Now she thinks we're best friends.

[Okay yeah that is...weird.]

No. She's still aware of it. But now she's calling me a "darling amazing beautiful creature".

That's a hell of an about face. What does she want from you?

No idea, but it can't be good.

[And asking her outright is useless if she's not willing to say up front.]

Who is she friendly with?

I've been avoiding her, not getting cozy with her.

[It's not fair to snap at Lark, but she can't help it.]

The only people I know that she knows are Godric and her husband. I think she said his name was Lazer or Lando or Lazlo. Something like that.

[A patient but very wolf-like, watchful look. He's here to help, so he's willing to take a small amount of being snapped at.]

Lazlo. And he won't tell us anything useful. We need to figure out what necromancers mean to her, and that means going at it through people who know her.

So Godric then. He seems to function as her Master.

Godric isn't my biggest fan, but he's invested in keeping her from causing trouble. I'll see what I can find out. If you find anyone else she's close with, let me know.

I could talk to Dracula, see if he knows her.

Mm. Yeah he's good at that.

If he won't talk to me about it I have another idea. [he just has to figure out a way to go at it that isn't manipulative because he cares deeply for Archer and won't do that to him.

Why is it so complicated to care about people's feelings.

Has Nadja granted any requests of yours? Or have you had reason to ask?

The only thing I would ask for is my necromancy, and that's not happening now. Whatever protection it'd give me isn't worth whatever she might want out of it.

Right. ...We can hope you aren't permanently paired with her and the next warden will grant them. Perhaps I could ask for them back, too, after you're not her ward--I don't know if I'm allowed to now that I am paired but it couldn't hurt to try.

It's something to think about.
