hi can you go to the enclosure and see if somebody’s in there? sephiroth is here in my room injured and said he left someone there at the bottom of a well
[ Zack opens the door and gestures for them to come in. His cabin is rustic and simply furnished — a replica of the home he grew up in so it’s a small, cozy space more than anything. He’s already cleaned up the mess from Sephiroth, but for those with more sensitive noses, the smell of blood is still fresh. ]
I asked Sephiroth to wait in his cabin next door so if you want to check in with him after we’re done, you can.
[ He leads them over to the living area with a couch and chairs and waves a hand as if to say ‘sit wherever’.
[ Jon looks to Zack because he'd already gotten the run down and given what he had to Zack so he's more interested in- ]
I'm assuming you've already taken care of first aid. Let me know if there's anything I'll have to look after. I'm assuming even if he had advanced healing, he might not have it now. O-or not to the same degree.
[ A glance to Lark. ]
I'm assuming there's nothing new since you were with the perpetrator and Sephiroth was here.
Ordinarily, yeah, he would heal faster than average. But I have healing magic here with me so after I removed the razor from his back, I just went ahead and used that. So he's fine now.
He was pretty calm about the whole thing too, though I wouldn't say he was pleased.
[ It's his ego that suffered the most damage, Zack is pretty sure. ]
And he could have done worse than he did. Trevor's arm might be broken, but otherwise he's fine.
[Which brings him to:] Trevor is a vampire hunter. It's what his family does--it's a sacred calling for them. He was aware at a certain point that the Enclosure wasn't real, or at the least he knew no one was burning alive. But Sephiroth resembled the kinds of vampires he's fought before. That's why he attacked.
[ There are a lot of reasons that Jon is annoyed here and not all of them have to do with Trevor but that doesn’t take the irritation out of his tone. ]
I was one of the first to talk to him when he got here and I told him that there was no need, and in fact it’s frowned upon, to attack someone unless they’re actively harming anyone. For fuck’s sake, he attacked me for asking his name, almost threw me over the railing before I explained.
[ A pause. ]
And no, not like that.
[ He glances as Zack. ]
Do you think there’ll be anything lasting? A-a grudge or anything, I mean.
[ Zack looks faintly annoyed at Lark's explanation, which only increases after Jon says his piece. ]
And I'm a super soldier designed to bring down armies and monsters. It's not an excuse, even if he was freaked out by what he saw.
[ And based on even that brief description, Zack has a pretty good idea which location Sephiroth chose. ]
Sephiroth told me Trevor charged him, and when Sephiroth flew up in the air, he attacked him with the razor. Sephiroth told him none of it was real, that the fight was pointless, but Trevor tried to bring him down with a rope. If was only after he was injured that Sephiroth retaliated and ended up dropping him in a well.
I don't think Sephiroth is going to actively track him down at the moment, but considering he said he was definitely going to kill him next time there was a fight between them, yeah - there's going to be a grudge.
A couple of weeks ago, when he first arrived, up on the deck.
[ Jon's annoyed enough that he doesn't notice he's being looked at a certain way. It doesn't help that it always feels like he's being looked at.
The recent addition of Elias makes it feel like it's with disappointment regardless.]
I was smoking, I noticed a new face, introduced myself, and while we were talking, he just grabbed me and shoved me against the rail. Got me right in the missing ribs. Hurt like hell, but I was able to explain that I wasn't some manner of monstrosity trying to, I don't know, eat him or something and started to give him an overview of everything going on here.
[ He huffs. ]
The idiot decided to take a nap on one of the benches mid explanation.
[ He shakes his head firmly. ]
But he was very much awake and aware when I told him he'd best not attack people or he'd end up in a proper jail cell.
[ Jon's had... a goddamn couple of weeks. Which is why he looks back at Lark without being cowed for once. ]
I wasn't aware that I was supposed to report to anyone when a situation is handled. [ There's a bit more sharpness to that there would be; he's felt helpless enough the last few days, so being treated like he's fouled up in front of someone else hits him in the very small vestiges of pride he maintains. ]
A 'stern talking to' isn't what happened anyway, Lark: he stood down when I made it clear I meant no harm. Unless you're advocating for some genuinely awful violations of privacy for everyone I talk to, I could hardly know he'd repeat the behavior when he should know better.
He should know better. Every inmate here should 'know better', they're here because they don't. They wouldn't be in prison otherwise.
[He's still thinking about Jon being pressed against the railing, and how relentless Trevor clearly is, and the small but fierce protective edge in him is butting up against the frustration of a problem without a focused group to handle it.]
I'm not asking you to report to me, I'm saying what happens here matters and it can't be taken into consideration if no one knows about it. His attacking you is not an isolated event, clearly. You're not protecting his confidentiality like he's a client. Silence allows a pattern of offenses to form right under us without any of us being able to notice it.

I already sent Jon a summary of what Sephiroth told me; I don’t know if Trevor has a Warden or a temp, but whoever it is needs to be told, also.
Re: text.
I'm done. Where do we want to meet and when?
Don't know who his temp is or if he has one, would rather we have both sides of the story put together before we bring in someone else.
Re: text.
The sooner the better so - now if you’ve got time.
