He's got options if he wants to howl at the moon. And now that I've had the chance to fix Toni's pendant, she doesn't look quite as pomeranian when she shifts as she did. Much more intimidating.

Sometimes back home not everyone turns into a wolf--some of them look more doglike. But I've never seen one turn into a pomeranian. Thank God.

It was an energy preservation thing. She was so cute though, I might have to convince her to use that form more often...

I think the only person who can say for sure he wasn't hurt, was his royal pain in my ass. And while I'm not saying he didn't deserve it, that doesn't mean that I asked for it either.

I can accept all Vincent's reasons for doing this, and still be kind of pissed off at the same time. Those two things aren't impossible to feel at the same time. I contain multitudes of stupid, conflicting feelings all the time. This is no different.

Just don't be angry that I'm not punishing Vincent for it. I think he did the right thing given the tools he has at this given moment.

Oh he wouldn't. And I'm proud of him so unfortunately I can't flick him either. He got revenge without causing a bloody massacre; that's more than I've ever done.

And with his history how often do you think he wanted to protect people he cared about? How often do you think he was actually able to do it?

This is a step forward for him. Grim as that may seem.

There is a huge difference between a human man and a werewolf as far as revenge goes, Lark, but I don't disagree.

My problem is he did it knowing I'd shoot him down if he brought it up to me. I don't do vengeance, and if it had just been for him and Sokie, then sure. But it was presented as a gift, one I would never ask for.

That, in my mind is where we have some shit to talk about.

He was never able to protect anyone back home, Hanna. Not really. Keep that in mind with him, please? It took a lot for him to go out on a limb for getting 'justice' for you.

That is what I'm after, yeah. I don't want you to give up on Vincent. Especially now. I want you to appreciate what he did for you even though I know it complicates your job as a warden. I don't want you to lose sight of what it cost Vincent to put this together. No matter what.
