Look, I mean, I'll do what I can. But I got Arthas last month, and now you - not that you're as crazy as he is or anything, it's just - I don't know what I can do that nobody else has tried yet.
[Help, he's a terrible, insecure warden and keeps getting the hard cases.]
[He frowns and, okay, fine, fine, he takes pity on Pietro where he'd been fine manipulating the others into positions of friendship or into giving him distance]
Honestly, I don't know what I need or what would help. I just try to listen to Steve Rogers. Now, obviously, he's gone. But he'll be back. When he does, just talk to him.
In the meantime...I'm trying to get jobs to fill the time. Could you help me with that?
Apart from hunting and advocating, which surprisingly aren't needed around here? I can paint pretty well, I can repair--I remodeled my own cabin. I wouldn't mind maintenance. And I would like to learn mechanics; you wouldn't think I'd have use for that with four paws, but I live in a big city ordinarily. It could come in handy.
Well... Anya's down and out, right now, but I think Hope's spearheading repairs since the whole... monsters tearing shit up fiasco.
Not sure I can help you with the mechanical thing, but I'll ask around.
[He can only think of Max (who he doubts would appreciate having an inmate not his own shoved on him), Dean (who he'd rather pull his own teeth out than talk to civilly), and Todd (who he's just gotten on halfway decent speaking terms with again, and would probably freak out and get all weird if he suggested teaching anyone anything). It's not a helpful selection.]
[Lark has no real use for any of those people, not enough that he'd want to spend time working alongside them when a better option is available. He'd be glad to know that Pietro isn't going to send him to them.]
The maintenance is a tall order for now anyway, any help there is more than enough. Thank you.
You know, after having Arthas, any of the rest of us will be easy. Even your permanent pairing.

Yeah, think I can manage that. Anywhere you'd prefer? I don't really know your skillset.

[He wonders if the Admiral is going to pair him with someone awful, just for laughs.]
I'll be in touch.
