No, Lark. I’m pissed because for someone who likes to talk about how useless Zero is, what you’re doing in response to Trevor killing people isnt any damn different from sticking him down there for a week.
I already said there need to be boundaries. Clear expectations regarding what’s acceptable and what isn’t, and what the consequences will be if he crosses a line. No surprises.
I liked the system Zagreus proposed for Elias - you could tweak it as needed.
It’s fine to understand his reasons. I can understand why Sephiroth went batshit all day long. That doesn’t mean I’m just going to make him take a nap in my room for a week after he kills somebody.
Killing should never be the first or only response to other murders. It doesn’t solve anything, and that’s all Trevor does - and almost exclusively with nonhumans. So give him a list of things he can do that aren’t murder.

[He wants to argue that he is doing more than just babysitting, but he certainly hasn't communicated it. That last month before the crash he'd been knocked right out of his usual orbit, and it turns out the year in a foreign planet hasn't helped. He feels right back where he was, and no wiser for it.
So. Go back to what does work. Go back to the things he told other people to do, and do them, too.]
This is why I encourage wardens to be vocal about what they're doing in response to situations, and I realize I haven't done that. I'm still figuring out how to get through to him. I'm still trying to find the most long-term, effective strategy.
But I can keep you all better informed of it in the future.
[ The ire has gone out of his voice, and now he's just...well, concerned, honestly. ]
I know we're not that close so you don't need to tell me what's wrong. But if there's something I can do to help - and I mean, to help you, specifically - I want to.
I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with me. But...honestly, you keeping an eye out for trouble eases my mind. I know you won't just let something happen.
